As the Medical Director of the California Center for Reproductive Health, Eliran Mor, MD, specializes in Reproductive Endocrinology and Fertility and has built a practice based on compassion for his patients. He works tirelessly to help any families or individuals who are struggling to begin or expand their families. He is a patient-centric doctor who will be your physician throughout your fertility journey! All consultations, after-hour inquiries, pelvic examinations, ultrasound examinations, diagnostic procedures, assisted reproductive procedures (egg retrievals, embryo transfers…), and surgical procedures, if needed, will be performed by Dr. Mor. Eliran Mor, MD is involved in every aspect of your fertility care and completely micromanages your treatment, making him your ideal partner in your path to becoming pregnant.
Dr. Mor received his medical degree from the University of Tel Aviv-Sackler College of Medicine. He then completed a 4-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, before subsequently completing a 3-year fellowship in Reproductive Gynecology.
Dr. Mor received his California medical license in 2001 and has been practicing medicine for over 20 years. He is also board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a member of a number of prestigious medical organizations and is in excellent standing with all of them. He is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society (PCRS), the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons (SLS), and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). He is also a clinical instructor at the University of Southern California.
As part of his commitment to reproductive medicine and health, Dr. Mor has spent time researching a variety of related areas. His research endeavors have included topics such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS); emergency contraception; neuroendocrinology; insulin resistance; male factor infertility; donor sperm insemination; tubal factor infertility; IVF (HRT). He continues this research today.
Additionally, Eliran Mor, MD strives to attend at least 2 medical conferences or association meetings per year. Dr. Mor uses these meetings to learn directly from his colleagues and peers about the latest in reproductive health and fertility. His commitment to providing the best to his patients means that he will only introduce treatments into the practice that have been widely tested and validated by the medical community.
Dr. Mor has also been published at least a dozen times in prestigious medical journals, including the Journal of the American Medical Association; Fertility & Sterility; and the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. These published articles have covered many different topics that are of interest to physicians in the fields of reproductive endocrinology, infertility and obstetrics, and gynecology. Specific article topics have included polycystic ovary syndrome, insulin resistance, pregnancy in the sixth decade of life, in vitro fertilization, and contraception.
Dr. Mor has also co-presented abstracts at a variety of national and international conferences on similar topics. His abstract entitled “Defective autophosphorylation of the insulin receptor (APIR): A potential mechanism of insulin resistance in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS),” was awarded the Fellowship Research Prize Paper Award by the Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the 59th Annual Meeting of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine in San Antonio, Texas in October 2003. Another of his abstracts entitled “Insulin resistance in polycystic ovary syndrome: Clinical implications of fasting glucose and insulin levels,” was presented at the 70th Annual Meeting of the Pacific Coast Obstetrical and Gynecological Society in September 2003 in Anchorage, Alaska, and awarded the Frank Lynch Memorial Essay Award.
