Formal day because evening clothing is historically separated, with morning dress worn before 6 p.m. and white tie worn after 6 p.m. The most formal kinds of ceremonial clothes (including court dresses, diplomat uniforms, and educational dresses), full dress uniforms, spiritual attire, national costumes, and, very rarely, gowns are often permitted other options. Underwear isn’t necessary; however, darker pantyhose or tights are preferred while wearing skirts in the winter months.
