May 9, 2016, 10:38 PM msgis ban for tweeting about #safer sex ikg **Whats the ban for?* tweet about #safer sex ikg It’s a joke! It’s not safe to do that here. Twitter is filled with rambunctious people who like to joke around and have fun. It’s not cool to do that online. So don’t do it, ok? lomastechcrunch Wrong. Do it but only on a private site like @facebook or @twitter. The internet is littered with posts that are in jest or kidding around (sometimes all of them). And no one can stop you from saying them.
What is a Ban For?
A ban is a restriction or cancellation of an account or account behaviour on a service. An example of a ban on Twitter is that someone can’t reply to you after they’ve been reported as spamming.
Joke or Not Joke?
If you’re making a jest, a joke, or a comment online, you can’t be banned for it. Some rules of engagement are set by usage. For example, if you’re posting a picture of your dog with a human in it, you probably don’t want to be blacklisted as a dog jester.
Don’t Use Twitter If You’re A Teenager
If you want to be a Teenage X Factor winner, then you need to use a private server. A public server offers everyone access to everyone and everything. Some users might see the picture of their dog and think, “What the actual sh*t? That’s a kid’s picture.” But that’s not what Twitter is.
Just GetAcrossTheLineAnd Leave It Alone
You can’t use the internet to jest or make fun of people who are younger or in a different social group to you. It’s considered rude and inappropriate to do so. When one person on Twitter remarks on the other’s appearance, that’s not offensive. It’s just different.
What happens when you leave the internet?
If you leave the internet, you lose all your past accounts, all those jauntiest connections, and all the fun times you’ve spent talking to people. Then there’s this: when you log onto your old account, you no longer have access to the chats and reposts you made. It’s as if everyone who was on that account has vanished.
Banned From Twitter: 1-10
Some users may be banned from Twitter for being too mean or bullying. But are they the only ones who are banned for doing those things? Are there other people whose accounts you’ve been banned for sharing? It can be hard to know the true number because the system is not kept updated.
Banned From Facebook: 1-10
Some users may be banned from Facebook for doing things like posting photos of what they’re wearing, or posting pictures of people they’ve shared with. But are people also banned for doing those things? Are there other users who you’ve been banned for sharing pictures of what they’ve been wearing? It’s hard to know, and it’s not always possible to know.
Banned From Google+: 1-10
Some users are banned from Google+ for doing things like posting photos or comments of other users on the service. But are people also banned for doing those things? Are there other users who you’ve been banned for sharing pictures of what they’ve been wearing? It’s hard to know, and it’s not always possible to know.
Final Thoughts
You can’t remove posts from Twitter, but you can delete accounts. It’s not possible to trace back the conversations on a given account, but you can ban users for sending personal messages. These types of action have a much shorter time frame than what the account is actually used for. You can also report accounts you’ve been malware-infected or otherwise affected by. This may require sending an email to the account owner to complain about how their account is being used. If you’ve been banned from Twitter, send an email to the account owner’s email address, explaining what happened, and ask if they’d be willing to work a bit more dirty. Take the account owner’s word for it that they’re comfortable with what they’ve done. It doesn’t mean that you have to take those steps yourself. And always test the water with different services first. You never know what might pop up and make you think you’ve been hacked. You never know who might be looking for you in a new way. So test the water and see how your new account looks.
